The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to New Loser FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Jailson Souto hit a great ball. 3 minutes into the match, Kingpins's Sven Bållström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 4 minutes into the match, Lars-Erik Ivarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseu Negri. New Loser FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars-Erik Ivarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eliseu Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ture Torsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Virgílio Diniz hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Luís Paulo Nogueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Asserlind. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Paulo Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Virgílio Diniz put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mattias Asserlind. After 33 played minutes, Kingpins's Sven Bållström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliseu Negri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kingpins reached it. Luís Paulo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Lars-Erik Ivarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes Kingpins got a freekick which was hit by Harry Igelström. Eliseu Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Bållström in the 41st minute of the match. Lars-Erik Ivarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Eliseu Negri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars-Erik Ivarsson went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kingpins's Mikael Ekeberg was substituted for Harry Igelström. The wind increased when Mikael Ekeberg made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Sven Bållström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliseu Negri. Sven Bållström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After some careless play in the New Loser FC defense, Mikael Ekeberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliseu Negri. The New Loser FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliseu Negri should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Ivarsson came free, but Eliseu Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kingpins getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mikael Ekeberg hit a great ball. Kingpins made a substitution. Ralf Olsmann replaced Charles Lenberg. Kingpins's Ove Modig was substituted for Scipio Africano. After 67 played minutes Kingpins got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Ekeberg. In the 68th minute of the match Olívio Coutinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mattias Asserlind skillfully saved the ball. New Loser FC's Eliseu Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Bållström in the 70th minute of play. Lars-Erik Ivarsson's late challenge caught a New Loser FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars-Erik Ivarsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kingpins's Lars-Erik Ivarsson got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to New Loser FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Reinaldo Vargas hit a great ball. New Loser FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Mikael Ekeberg scored to the left of an out of position Eliseu Negri, making the score, 1-6. 97 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Negri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Bållström. Kingpins played a much better game than New Loser FC and deserved their victory. The New Loser FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
