After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jörn Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strömsbro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörn Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Pasqua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Riverol in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Chivos de Punto Fijo booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Erik Ingemarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Riverol, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gayand Pombo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Gayand Pombo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luzea Pedrero's late challenge caught a Strömsbro IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luzea Pedrero helped the player get up and apologised. Luzea Pedrero hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Martin Pasqua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Billberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Jörn Hermansson. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Martin Pasqua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Billberg in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Gayand Pombo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per-Olof Walroth. Strömsbro IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gayand Pombo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Chivos de Punto Fijo made a substitution. Bela Gayoso replaced Martin Amenedo. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Ulizes Maquibar was substituted for Ceferino Aizaran. In the 87th minute, Jaunzuria Azpeitia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chivos de Punto Fijo played a much better game than Strömsbro IF and deserved their victory. The Strömsbro IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
