In the 3rd minute Baltasar Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Rickard Söder got a free kick in the 4th minute. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Gaitan in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th minute Baltasar Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Olof Walroth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciriaco Mantzio in the 9th minute. Per-Olof Walroth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Lizzio in the 11th minute. Cable a Tierra were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Strömsbro IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baldomero Gaitan took the corner. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Hermansson in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cable a Tierra's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernt Löfskog was slow to take the kick. During this time Strömsbro IF's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jörn Hermansson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nacho Gonzalez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 27 minutes, Baldomero Gaitan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cable a Tierra and the Strömsbro IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cable a Tierra getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Baldomero Gaitan hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Cable a Tierra's Per-Olof Walroth threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baltasar Gaitan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Lizzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth got control of the ball when Pablo Lizzio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltasar Gaitan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jörn Hermansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jörn Hermansson fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strömsbro IF's protests and gave Jörn Hermansson a yellow card for diving instead. Per-Olof Walroth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Lauren's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute Baltasar Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cable a Tierra's Maximino Timo was substituted for Reynaldo Lauren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Lizzio in the 81st minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Tavio in the 88th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Lizzio in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Gaitan in the 91st minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cable a Tierra were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
