Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Mech kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Vilgot Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Luis Andino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vilgot Palmquist was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Vilgot Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 22nd minute of play. Pedro Mech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Zachrisson, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Almqvist got free with Julio Vera in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vilgot Palmquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 33 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Övertorneå RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Almkvist to maneuver through the defense. Vilgot Palmquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Saverio Matthew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vilgot Palmquist having to make a save. Vilgot Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play. Vilgot Palmquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilgot Palmquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Matthew in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Övertorneå RK got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Mech. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Matthew, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Övertorneå RK's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Vilgot Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vilgot Palmquist in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vilgot Palmquist. Vilgot Palmquist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Vilgot Palmquist made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Vilgot Palmquist was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-3. Cristian Sancho in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vilgot Palmquist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 82nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Övertorneå RK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vilgot Palmquist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Övertorneå RK's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilgot Palmquist came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the game, Övertorneå RK's Ulf Zachrisson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.
