Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Victor Erauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Victor Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Erauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. Cyprian Sroki's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Alijilán returns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Cyprian Sroki made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Alijilán returns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kieth Van Damme to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Victor Erauso made a huge save. Jairo Dalmai made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 84th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Alijilán returns's Victor Erauso got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line.
