Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Quentin Gonzalez started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarando Lastras having to interfere. After having played for 5 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Maravilla's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zarando Lastras came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo de Queiroz. In the 14th minute Dionisio Hidalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Atlético Maravilla's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Zhang Zhen Yin tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Zarando Lastras. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 17th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zarando Lastras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarando Lastras. Atlético Maravilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 31st minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Atlético Maravilla's Herminio March got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Dionisio Hidalgo scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 1-3. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After having played for 48 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute of play forced Atlético Maravilla's goalkeeper Zarando Lastras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Zarando Lastras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Maravilla from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Lastras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Leopoldo de Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Maravilla from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Zarando Lastras threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 69 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goalkeeper Zarando Lastras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zarando Lastras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Zarando Lastras made a huge save. Zarando Lastras was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-4. Atlético Maravilla made a substitution. Shawn Seracino Inglott replaced Dionisio Hidalgo. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawn Seracino Inglott, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Zarando Lastras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zarando Lastras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 94th minute of the match. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
