Isac Murgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Ionuț Cosoroabă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Monty Rogers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Cosoroabă in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Zula Dziura made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ionuț Cosoroabă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
