The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Cristo Elia advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 8th minute. If Arnoldo Arotza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Gregorio Hotz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Hotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Espirillo FC's Gregorio Hotz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregorio Hotz got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregorio Hotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Cristo Elia scored 4-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Cristo Elia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 5-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Espirillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rico Migachev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Viviano made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aaron Cutberto. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Elia in the 55th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gregorio Hotz scored 6-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Espirillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Jorge Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Cristo Elia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.
