Dariusz Wos started the match with the kick off. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Ticho having to interfere. Maximino Ticho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dariusz Wos got free with Rolando Noboa in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anthony Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Maximino Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Ticho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Maximino Ticho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Wos came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.C. Patagonia's Dariusz Wos got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximino Ticho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. A.C. Patagonia's Maximino Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play. After 46th play minutes Julian Murillo shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Maximino Ticho and just under the crossbar into goal. The A.C. Patagonia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Maximino Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Wos in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute Dariusz Wos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amerigo Ianni made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Horea Boian. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Amerigo Ianni, made in the 83rd minute of the game. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Boian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Gallo struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Maximino Ticho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru's Rafael Gallo got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Tenorio took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Ticho. Maximino Ticho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
