The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kjell Åkesson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. After a rather tough play, JKs Talanger's Roque Lauro got a free kick in the 26th minute. JKs Talanger's Walter Wallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 27th minute of play. Ivar Askelöf kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Kjell Åkesson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Kjell Åkesson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JKs Talanger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A collision led to JKs Talanger getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lukas Almstedt hit a great ball. After 46 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the JKs Talanger players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 47th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Kjell Åkesson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjell Åkesson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Venezuela booed when JKs Talanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Åkesson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by JKs Talanger's Kjell Åkesson. But to his dismay, Kjell Åkesson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Åkesson in the 76th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Wallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
