Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Selman Pektaşi was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio Papão de WC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Selman Pektaşi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Andréas Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Luca Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Andréas Linquist. Grêmio Papão de WC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of play forced Grêmio Papão de WC's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Nestor Perrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Andréas Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Papão de WC's Stayko Vakareliyski got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Grêmio Papão de WC's Gedeon Káposztás dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Selman Pektaşi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 30 minutes, Luiz Paulo Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Papão de WC and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Grêmio Papão de WC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Marquez. Selman Pektaşi kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Leonardo Leoz hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andréas Linquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gedeon Káposztás, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Andréas Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 69th minute of the match. Andréas Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute Marcus Rashford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Andréas Linquist however easily saved by the left post. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Rashford, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
