A wasted opportunity for CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land. When Diego Quadros fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's protests and gave Diego Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Antonio Indiano put in a rough tackle. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colombia! In the 14th minute there was a penalty for CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land. Ulisses Duarte stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Manzanares. 1-0. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duarte Duarte having to make a save. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
