Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Melchor Tome showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melchor Tome got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Deportivo Kadorna booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Horacio Petrigai. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Tome to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Tiadoro came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Melchor Tome's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melchor Tome's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Deportivo Kadorna made a substitution. Leons Gudrenieks replaced Horacio Petrigai. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melchor Tome's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute of the match Long Jing Liang sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Carl Beck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Deportivo Kadorna were the better team. Deportivo Kadorna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
