Augusto Saldanha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 21st minute. The wind increased when Augusto Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Gracie Barra's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Cunha came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Gracie Barra booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play, Gracie Barra's Emanuel de Lara made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel de Lara's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute of the match Gracie Barra got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rubens Rezende ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Gracie Barra's corner Rubens Rezende fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel de Lara in the 84th minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel de Lara's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gracie Barra fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
