Johannes Kruuse started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Facundo Cadaval made a precise shot to the right of Fırat Aytekin. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ciro da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard de Lima hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fırat Aytekin having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Johannes Kruuse kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Llorian Bullon hit a great ball. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fırat Aytekin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, Johannes Kruuse notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fırat Aytekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johannes Kruuse went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Johannes Kruuse ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fırat Aytekin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 47th minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

54 minutes into the game, Valdecir Carlos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After a rather tough play, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Valdecir Carlos got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Fırat Aytekin in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fırat Aytekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 60th minute. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Rafinha Orange was substituted for Edgard de Lima. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Evandro Trancoso was substituted for Johannes Kruuse. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Zuberoa Ezquerra was substituted for Nildo Rosa. In the 68th minute of the game Leonardo Leoz made a throw-in which Lautaro Mancebo played forward. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save S.C. Corinthians Paulista from getting a goal against them. Fırat Aytekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evandro Trancoso went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Fırat Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fırat Aytekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute. Joel Gaona made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Ciro da Silveira. The audience was convinced that Evandro Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
