Vute Kukushev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evlogi Lukanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Evlogi Lukanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Evlogi Lukanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. In the 39th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evlogi Lukanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evlogi Lukanov came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Venko Cherganski hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sokol Solakov made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sokol Solakov in the 51st minute of play. Cristian Sancho scored 2-4 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evlogi Lukanov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Lokomotiv Plovdiv's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evlogi Lukanov came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Evlogi Lukanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evlogi Lukanov having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sokol Solakov in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evlogi Lukanov was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-7. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sokol Solakov in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evlogi Lukanov, 2-8. After 91 played minutes Lokomotiv Plovdiv got a freekick which was hit by Venko Cherganski. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Evlogi Lukanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
