When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Rákóczifalva SE's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Flórián Gera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Soma Horváth. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rákóczifalva SE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Felix Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Augusto Salgado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Soma Kovács's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Soma Kovács helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Rákóczifalva SE got a freekick which was hit by Soma Kovács. Pedro Augusto Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flórián Gera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute of the match Rákóczifalva SE got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vadim Spãtaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. 40 minutes into the match, Rákóczifalva SE's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Pedro Augusto Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flórián Gera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Adrián Császár shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play forced Rákóczifalva SE's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Soma Horváth in the 52nd minute of the match. Pedro Augusto Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Rákóczifalva SE's Pedro Augusto Salgado got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Augusto Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Vadim Spãtaru took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Augusto Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 72nd minute. Rákóczifalva SE's Pedro Augusto Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Rákóczifalva SE from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Augusto Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Soma Horváth hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th match minute, Rákóczifalva SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Botond Kondor to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rákóczifalva SE's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto Salgado came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Augusto Salgado. Pedro Augusto Salgado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Rákóczifalva SE's Pedro Augusto Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Rákóczifalva SE from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Rákóczifalva SE to leave the ground with a draw.
