With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yağızalp Sayyad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Westelinx in the 24th minute of play forced The Conqueror's goalkeeper Yağızalp Sayyad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Vereijt made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Uğur Akdurmuş sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, The Conqueror's goal looked a bit too open when William Westelinx came free, but Yağızalp Sayyad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uğur Akdurmuş was the one to do the kick off. The nice shot from William Westelinx in the 68thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Yağızalp Sayyad had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ouagadougou National's zone, Uğur Akdurmuş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Vereijt came out of the goal and Uğur Akdurmuş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded FC Ouagadougou National left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Conqueror.
