Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Abrahamsson in the 4th minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Martinsson having to make a save. After 10 played minutes LA VIOLA got a freekick which was hit by Isak Ahlbeck. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The long shot by Sune Dahlberg in the 28th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Felix Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Isak Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Martinsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens-Ove Abrahamsson during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to LA VIOLA getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jens-Ove Abrahamsson hit a great ball. Felix Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of LA VIOLA booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Albert Rutledge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Martinsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Rutledge, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvald Uter in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 91st minute of play. When Osvald Uter came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the LA VIOLA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvald Uter couldn't finish the play. Isak Ahlbeck made in the 96th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gottfrid Brenner. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sune Dahlberg was slow to take the kick. During this time LA VIOLA's players had a chance to rest. After 100 minutes, Svante Bäckman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA VIOLA and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Svante Bäckman hit a great freekick 101 minutes into the match.
