Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Cachorro in the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Tigre's Nathan de Haan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. If Nathan de Haan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathan de Haan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jorge Cachorro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant.
