The Big Bang Team Jr.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Alguacil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Big Bang Team Jr.'s Ambrosio Abancens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 15th minute of play. Felipe Ros's late challenge caught a The Big Bang Team Jr.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Ros helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, The Big Bang Team Jr.'s Gunnar Björklund got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcos Cotilla. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, The Big Bang Team Jr.'s Marcos Cotilla threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Hamdi Kayıhan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 35 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Ahmet Hamdi Kayıhan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Panama booed when The Big Bang Team Jr. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Ponciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. Marcos Cotilla went to the wrong direction when Gunnar Björklund was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

In the 56th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Panama's Miguel Miralles getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 61 played minutes The Big Bang Team Jr. got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Umea. 65 minutes into the game, Ruperto Ekaitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ambrosio Abancens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Javier Ponciano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ambrosio Abancens. Ambrosio Abancens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. In the 92nd minute, Ahmet Hamdi Kayıhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Osvaldo Ferrando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
