Tanek Bielejewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luz Tejedor's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Raschke in the 14th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Hugon Imbor took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Rolando Noboa to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kacper Charamut in the 47th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugon Imbor, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Grasshoppers Klucze's Tanek Bielejewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 56th minute of play. Hieronim Skrzypek hit a great ball. Tanek Bielejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 78th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Tanek Bielejewski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luz Tejedor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tanek Bielejewski having to make a save. In the 94th minute, Rafael Gallo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tanek Bielejewski. The goal made the score 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
