The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Xove Tijerina in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xove Tijerina. Xove Tijerina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Peru booed when Tala Bosques del Jaure was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. 庄昂坚 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tala Bosques del Jaure made a substitution. Edinson Rodríguez replaced Cai Wei Xi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 71st minute of play forced Tala Bosques del Jaure's goalkeeper Xove Tijerina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 72nd minute. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinson Rodríguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Edinson Rodríguez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Xove Tijerina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Tala Bosques del Jaure's 庄昂坚 got a free kick in the 88th minute. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor.
