Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marlin FC. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yin Yang in the 18th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Abram Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Carlos Alvarez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Colombia booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Iglesias didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Linus Fredriksson to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Ismael Iglesias in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. The throw-in from Orlando Tafalla in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Marlin FC's Fermin Arixo. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Axel Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Carlos Alvarez. That made the score 1-2 after 59 minutes of play. Boleslaw Gecionis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santino Seco during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Santino Seco hit a great ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aybek Orcun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linus Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Linus Fredriksson went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yin Yang in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boleslaw Gecionis to maneuver through the defense. Pascual Carballar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Juan Carlos Alvarez firmly grabbed it by the left post. 85 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Carballar. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yin Yang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
