The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Deng Liang Yao was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 10th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deng Liang Yao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Generoso Nazario got free with Dante Lacasa in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deng Liang Yao came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Fasano's Luiz Andrade got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deng Liang Yao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Deng Liang Yao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Deng Liang Yao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Fasano's Gonchan Ocejo got a free kick in the 36th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Defensores de Fasano's Deng Liang Yao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Luca Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Deng Liang Yao came out and tried to block the shot, but Luca Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 51st minute. Deng Liang Yao was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Luca Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luca Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. In the 56th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deng Liang Yao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 58th minute. In the 67th minute, Facundo Cadaval made a precise shot to the right of Deng Liang Yao. Defensores de Fasano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 74th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Deng Liang Yao could save by the left post. Deng Liang Yao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 81st minute of play. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Deng Liang Yao made a huge save. A hard and well directed shot from Joel Gaona led 96 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Defensores de Fasano's Deng Liang Yao became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-8. The Defensores de Fasano fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
