Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Abelardo Janpier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Gronow in the 20th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. After some careless play in the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Janpier. The Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Janpier should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Janpier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 43rd minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Peru booed when Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Nafarroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Janpier came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Justin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Foro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ildefonso Foro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Andreas Harlén replaced Ildefonso Foro. A collision led to Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Enzo Cope hit a great ball. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Mariusz Ratulowski made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Milagros Fraga. With an all-out effort, Peru's Abelardo Janpier threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Ratulowski in the 90th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Ratulowski in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Mariusz Ratulowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Abelardo Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
