Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 9 de Diciembre's Tomasz Huchro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomasz Huchro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeo Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when 9 de Diciembre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Osasun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomasz Huchro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Angel Osasun hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Amadeo Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeo Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Tomasz Huchro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amadeo Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Tomasz Huchro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomasz Huchro took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 45th minute 9 de Diciembre were awarded a corner. Angel Osasun went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's goalkeeper Amadeo Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomasz Huchro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Huchro in the 55th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Amadeo Carrizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeo Carrizo. That made the score 1-1 in the 65 minute of play. After a rather tough play, 9 de Diciembre's Angel Osasun got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. 9 de Diciembre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomasz Huchro in the 74th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after 9 de Diciembre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 78th minute, Amado Lider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Huchro in the 92nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing 9 de Diciembre to leave the ground with a draw.
