Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Xeneizes's Qi Xun started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Lucas Iigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Xeneizes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Bidun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 11th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Qi Xun got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Qi Xun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xeneizes's supporters rose to their feet, but Qi Xun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xeneizes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lucas Iigo in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's Qi Xun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Qi Xun might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Qi Xun ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihai Şelaru during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Xeneizes got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Şelaru. After 47 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Xeneizes got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Byström. Aristides Nastasio's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Nastasio helped the player get up and apologised. Aristides Nastasio hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Slavko Mojsovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Xeneizes's Qi Xun in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Xeneizes's Fulgencio Peru was substituted for Qi Xun. Xeneizes's Aaron Tiso was substituted for Lucas Iigo. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xeneizes the free kick. In the 76th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Peru in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fulgencio Peru scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute, Fulgencio Peru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulgencio Peru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Peru in the 89th minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulgencio Peru's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Xeneizes could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
