Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doctor Strange. The supporters of Colombia booed when Sport Clube Recife was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rain Bow didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Samuel Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Pablo Lampard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Pablo Lampard slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doctor Strange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doctor Strange could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Fernandez saved Sport Clube Recife from getting behind. Gualter Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abram Sarmiento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Percy Fernandez having to make a save. In the 41st minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Samuel Navarro hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dong Yang Bang.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Penha came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sport Clube Recife's Reginaldo Brodel got a free kick in the 58th minute. Percy Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Abram Sarmiento in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Percy Fernandez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 68th minute, Colombia's Axel Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Percy Fernandez. Percy Fernandez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Doctor Strange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sport Clube Recife's Delfim Leite was substituted for Doctor Strange. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ignacio Mastache hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Clube Recife's Gualter Penha. But to his dismay, Gualter Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Ignacio Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Mastache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Percy Fernandez made a huge save. The throw-in from Joshua Garrido in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sport Clube Recife's Geovani Medeiros. In the 92ndth minute of the game Gualter Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sport Clube Recife players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
