Oséas Albuquerque didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jukatriz's goalkeeper Oséas Albuquerque, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Augusto Alcântara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Noboa. Peru's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 17th minute of play forced Jukatriz's goalkeeper Oséas Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Peru's Moises Gayoso to fire away a dangerous shot which Oséas Albuquerque despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oséas Albuquerque narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Illimar Truupõld made in the 22nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Arif Ozan Sureha however managed to control. In the 25th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséas Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 35th minute. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Arif Ozan Sureha sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Milagros Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Oséas Albuquerque made a huge save. Arif Ozan Sureha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Patricio Cerezuela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Ozan Sureha in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, Jukatriz's Oséas Albuquerque got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséas Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Cerezuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 83rd minute Patricio Cerezuela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Jukatriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio do Vale to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, one of Jukatriz:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jukatriz. Jukatriz:s Oséas Albuquerque showed great skill when he stopped Eliseo Mina:s penalty. Oséas Albuquerque came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Eliseo Mina. But to his dismay, Eliseo Mina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Eliseo Mina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oséas Albuquerque read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
