After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Municipal's zone, Nistor Sârban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chuan Cintron came out of the goal and Nistor Sârban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chuan Cintron made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Nistor Sârban sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd match minute, Rega Merida CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telis Lianos to maneuver through the defense. Rega Merida CF's Konstanty Wawro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar De León in the 44th minute of play. Chuan Cintron was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Nistor Sârban capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nistor Sârban really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.
