When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Allan Corrigan took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Allan Corrigan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Corrigan in the 24th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Erik Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 58th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zisis Chronidis in the 59th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Allan Corrigan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Erik Vale had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Erik Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. Allan Corrigan struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panionios MK. Zisis Chronidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Panionios MK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
