Benedykt Kolacki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Benedykt Kolacki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Lipinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Konstanty Koczara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Orling came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Artur Orling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Artur Orling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Konstanty Koczara made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Lipinski in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedykt Kolacki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Benedykt Kolacki came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstanty Koczara's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstanty Koczara in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Konstanty Koczara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute Konstanty Koczara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but 2006 Los Blancos DUKLA were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
