Ndingi Mwana'a Tchokhonelidze ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jérémy Doku almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Jérémy Doku blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jérémy Doku got free with Julio Vera in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jérémy Doku received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ball Packert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jérémy Doku who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ball Packert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ulan Bator Football Club.
