In the 2nd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kartal Oğuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes FC VULTURII LUGOJ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kartal Oğuz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kartal Oğuz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rafael Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kartal Oğuz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Kartal Oğuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kartal Oğuz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Corrêa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the FC VULTURII LUGOJ defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kartal Oğuz. The FC VULTURII LUGOJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kartal Oğuz should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC VULTURII LUGOJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Udurbac didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kartal Oğuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th match minute, FC VULTURII LUGOJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Trifu to maneuver through the defense. Kartal Oğuz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Corrêa in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kartal Oğuz. Kartal Oğuz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Gong Guang Yao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Figo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match FC VULTURII LUGOJ got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augustin Hurmuzescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Mauro Abraão heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 77th minute Luis Figo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kartal Oğuz having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Figo's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Abraão in the 89th minute of play. FC VULTURII LUGOJ's Kartal Oğuz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save FC VULTURII LUGOJ from getting a goal against them. Leontin Trifu charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leontin Trifu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes FC VULTURII LUGOJ got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Trifu. In the 94th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
