The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanislaw Hyska got free with Dante Lacasa in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Eloy Mazuste despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardo Stephen who took care of the corner kick. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sinan Okergun, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Bergqvist got free with Dante Lacasa in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute Tigres Ñacuñán FC were awarded a corner. Ricardo Stephen went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sinan Okergun in the 31st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Christian Bergqvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 2-0. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Mexico booed when Tigres Ñacuñán FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sinan Okergun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
In the 52nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Mazuste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Mazuste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Eloy Mazuste was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute Christian Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Eloy Mazuste in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislaw Hyska in the 65th minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Christian Bergqvist made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eloy Mazuste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eloy Mazuste narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Eloy Mazuste, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Eloy Mazuste didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 83rd minute of play forced Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Eloy Mazuste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Eloy Mazuste was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Andres Pitin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Andres Pitin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Tigres Ñacuñán FC. Sinan Okergun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dante Lacasa. 4-1. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eloy Mazuste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sinan Okergun came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
