The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Will Alderson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Greenbay's Miguel Almiron in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Eugen Remus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Greenbay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Eugen Remus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vecdi Başesgioğlu hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Eugen Remus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 27th minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eugen Remus quite easily take care of the ball. Will Alderson hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Pawel Golanski fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenbay's protests and gave Pawel Golanski a yellow card for diving instead. Pawel Golanski kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Juan Sebastián Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Remus having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Will Alderson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tyler Morton made a great header on Greenbay's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mato Špišić hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Will Alderson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Greenbay made a substitution. Andre Shakespeare replaced Will Alderson. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vecdi Başesgioğlu in the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. In the 74th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Eugen Remus however easily saved by the left post. Greenbay's Eugen Remus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Greenbay from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Miguel Almiron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eugen Remus was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Andre Shakespeare's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Remus having to interfere.
