Liu Chen Jian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 38th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Ortzi in the 40th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Joaquin Prats hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the game, Peru's Eliseo Mina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liu Chen Jian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Ortzi in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tabby Rua in the 54th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Dominick Van den Bossche threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Julian Murillo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Liu Chen Jian skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leo Ortzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. In the 87th minute, Peru's Rafael Gallo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The Brasil off supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
