Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Greid Tinsmith saved Doffes Damer from getting behind. Luz Tejedor hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Peru's attentive Joaquin Prats managed to snatch the ball when Thiago Alcântara made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Greid Tinsmith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Knut Utfal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 22nd minute of the game Thiago Alcântara made a throw-in which Knut Utfal played forward. 36 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Greid Tinsmith narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Greid Tinsmith made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Cristi to strike the kick off in the second half. Greid Tinsmith made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Vedholm in the 60th minute of play. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Greid Tinsmith made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Greg Barrera replaced Knut Utfal. Thiago Alcântara made in the 66th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Carl Nordlander immediately put the ball in play. Greid Tinsmith didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Barrera in the 77th minute of the match. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inge Braa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
