Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Cristi in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Cristi came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knut Utfal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Greid Tinsmith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of the match. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Greid Tinsmith read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Cristi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Doffes Damer's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Greid Tinsmith quite easily take care of the ball. Greid Tinsmith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Pier Kopacz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Greid Tinsmith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Peru's Julian Murillo to fire away a dangerous shot which Greid Tinsmith despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pier Kopacz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Cristi got free with Rolando Noboa in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Cristi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Greid Tinsmith was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldo Cristi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pier Kopacz in the 56th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Reyes got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Milagros Fraga. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carl Nordlander in the 72 minute of the game. 73 minutes in the game Thiago Alcântara did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Carl Nordlander. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Doffes Damer's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. After 87 minutes of play, Doffes Damer's Göran Vedholm made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Greid Tinsmith saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Doffes Damer from getting a goal against them.
