Hector Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Justo Mirande took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiburones Pacufantásticos's goalkeeper Hector Pedroso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Pedroso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiburones Pacufantásticos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. In the 87th minute, Justo Mirande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. In the 90th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Garaile, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Tiburones Pacufantásticos succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
