The supporters of Ecuador booed when Zuberbühler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Romelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Elazar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Natalio Bernal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cipriano Elazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Cristian Sancho sped through Zuberbühler FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cipriano Elazar. In the 36th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Elazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. After 45 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cipriano Elazar was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Natalio Bernal made the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Elazar didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. In the 61st minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Elazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cipriano Elazar. The goal made the score 0-8. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adan Mouricio during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Adan Mouricio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar. Cipriano Elazar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
