The supporters of Zuberbühler FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zuberbühler FC's Eduardo Vachon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 13 minute of the game. Marciano Min's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The corner led Zuberbühler FC's Abelardo Nardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Min in the 18th minute of the match. Zuberbühler FC's Marciano Min got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Zuberbühler FC's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Saul Baumer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Baumer came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saul Baumer's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Zuberbühler FC's Marciano Min got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 39 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Berart. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saul Lamberto during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Zuberbühler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Lamberto to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saul Baumer to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Valentin Altúnov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zuberbühler FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 55th match minute, Zuberbühler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Altúnov to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Lastur in the 78th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Lastur. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Baumer in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Zuberbühler FC's Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Zuberbühler FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Baumer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Saul Baumer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.
