Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orçun Yalınalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petrică Cândreanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Iulian Pietreanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Wilson Arósio came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Iulian Pietreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Txindoki having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute of the match, Petrică Cândreanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nils-Emil Hansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iulian Pietreanu made a kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Galagan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Iulian Pietreanu made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Emil Hansson in the 70th minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Orçun Yalınalp came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Pietreanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Baldomiro Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
