After 14 minutes, Agostinho Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paralia Athens and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Agostinho Moura hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Doru Apostu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Doru Apostu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paralia Athens's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Paralia Athens booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorel Găman kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Doru Apostu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doru Apostu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 56 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Doru Apostu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Doru Apostu 61 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Leonard Chirculescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paralia Athens fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Unai Herrera hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 71 minutes of play, Paralia Athens's Leonard Chirculescu made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Paralia Athens were furious when Vasile Enciulescu was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Paralia Athens:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paralia Athens's Doru Apostu. 2-4. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doru Apostu. Doru Apostu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. When Paralia Athens's Unai Herrera in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paralia Athens.
