Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Tomas Illescas made the kick off and thus started the match. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josef Witlatschil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Sawicki in the 6th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josef Witlatschil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute Iwo Sawicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwo Sawicki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaizka Mendieta. In the 29th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pentti Ojala took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gaizka Mendieta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Gaizka Mendieta slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pentti Ojala in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pentti Ojala's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 65th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walter Baß recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiger made a substitution. Ingo Ustorf replaced Rudolf Speed. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thilo Heß, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tiger's Pentti Ojala. But to his dismay, Pentti Ojala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Tiger's Américo Baehr was substituted for Fatih Schwemer. After having played for 84 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Ustorf. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. There was no doubt that Tiger were the better team. Tiger's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
