Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Josef Witlatschil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 4th minute of play. Thilo Heß could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Josef Witlatschil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josef Witlatschil. Josef Witlatschil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gaizka Mendieta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Sawicki in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Tiger's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Josef Witlatschil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Witlatschil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes Tiger's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Tiger's Josef Witlatschil managed to reach the ball for a save. Josef Witlatschil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josef Witlatschil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 35th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Josef Witlatschil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Witlatschil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Iwo Sawicki sent off a good shot on target. Josef Witlatschil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Pentti Ojala in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Pentti Ojala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatih Schwemer didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Walter Baß hit a great ball. Josef Witlatschil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Pentti Ojala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiger's supporters rose to their feet, but Pentti Ojala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaizka Mendieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Pentti Ojala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 80th minute. Tiger made a substitution. Ingo Ustorf replaced Rudolf Speed. Tiger made a substitution. Marten Weise replaced Iwo Sawicki. Tiger's Américo Baehr got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute Pentti Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Gisbert lost his temper 87 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 92nd minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josef Witlatschil was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
