Criciúma Esporte Clube were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Cesate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Valadares took the corner. The corner led Criciúma Esporte Clube's Gaztea Regalado to fire away a dangerous shot which Radowit Ptaszek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 6th match minute, Criciúma Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joe Gonzalovich to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Cesate's goalkeeper Radowit Ptaszek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bieito Villaurreta. Evelio Antoniano came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Cesate's Angelo Vettori. But to his dismay, Angelo Vettori quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radowit Ptaszek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bieito Villaurreta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Radowit Ptaszek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bieito Villaurreta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Radowit Ptaszek made a huge save. 28 minutes in the game Florian Carlini did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Angelo Vettori. The audience was convinced that Paulo Laurentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radowit Ptaszek was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 38thth minute of the game Paulo Laurentzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cesate's Radowit Ptaszek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Attilio Mazzone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Laurentzi got free with Radowit Ptaszek in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd match minute, Criciúma Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaztea Regalado to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes Cesate got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Angelini. In the 48th minute, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Bieito Villaurreta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Radowit Ptaszek. Radowit Ptaszek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Angelo Vettori made the kick off in the second half. Radowit Ptaszek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Laurentzi's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Evelio Antoniano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Vettori in the 57th minute of play. Cesate's Comunardo Puja was substituted for Felice Frezza. Cesate's Kay Stormlund was substituted for Angelo Ferraris. Tobiasz Jucha got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Comunardo Puja. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Vettori in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Antoniano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Cesate fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Cesate's Angelo Vettori looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paulo Laurentzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Cesate defense, Paulo Laurentzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radowit Ptaszek. The Cesate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radowit Ptaszek should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Cesate booed when Criciúma Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Emin Kamer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute of the match, Angelo Vettori tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Evelio Antoniano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Evelio Antoniano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kay Stormlund in the 82nd minute. Paulo Laurentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radowit Ptaszek having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Eriz Marques came free, but Radowit Ptaszek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cesate's Tobiasz Jucha got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Paulo Laurentzi made a precise shot to the right of Radowit Ptaszek. Cesate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. The Cesate players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Criciúma Esporte Clube from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
