DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Aguirre Verde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Paiva in the 21st minute of play. Alvin Thedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Aguirre Verde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dito Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berker Sani in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Josué Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguirre Verde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VARGINHA FC's Dito Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jürgen Fahlgren in the 27th minute of play. Aguirre Verde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute VARGINHA FC were awarded a corner. Alvin Thedin went to the cornerflag to take it. Aguirre Verde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Tande in the 39th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Marcus Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguirre Verde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, VARGINHA FC's goalkeeper Dito Novaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berker Sani. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teofilo Gutierrez-Pacheco made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's zone, Alvin Thedin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aguirre Verde came out of the goal and Alvin Thedin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the game, Teofilo Gutierrez-Pacheco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dito Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dito Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bass Duchateau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dito Novaes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Teofilo Gutierrez-Pacheco shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Dito Novaes came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Berker Sani. But to his dismay, Berker Sani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Berker Sani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Novaes having to interfere. Nelson Messias charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson Messias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes DUBAI Palm Jumeirah got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Messias. Aguirre Verde acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alvin Thedin. When VARGINHA FC's Josué Paiva in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcus Tande kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aguirre Verde. That made the score 4-1 in the 84 minute of play. In the 95th minute, Emil Plop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VARGINHA FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
