In the 15th minute Bieito Villaurreta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Laurentzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Estavan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Neila in the 19th minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bieito Villaurreta came free, but Marcial Estavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Antoniano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Orlan in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Orlan to maneuver through the defense. After 71 minutes of play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Estavan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcial Estavan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bieito Villaurreta in the 73rd minute.
